Poughkeepsie, N.Y. March 19, 1837.)
"Benjamin Maltby Fowler, a lawyer and one of the organizers of Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie, died here Wednesday night. He was 82 years old. He was born in Durham, Conn., and attended River- side Military Academy here. He was admitted to the bar fifty years ago. He specialized in former years in probate and estates laws. He was the first court stenographer in Duchess County. Three sons sur- vive."
